Am I clueless?
Are there things I should care more about
That I don’t
I follow politics
It’s important to me and I rock the vote
But it’s not woven into the quilt of my everything
I don’t think thoughts along party lines
I’m quite devout in my faith
I believe God created this whole place
I’ll answer to him when I give up my ghost
But I’m not going to preach to another before I go
Instead my true character will be defined
By Sunday afternoons filled with rain
Occasional cracks of thunder
Which follow muted flashes in the sky
The rain that makes you fall in love again
With falling in love
It soaks the idea of giving so much to another
That you let go of who you are
They become your world
And all the rest becomes your noise
Words behind the verse: clueless, rock, politics and character
